So who's going then?
I have already booked a place; entry costs £45 if you're employed, discounts if you're unemployed or a student. The programme, available here, looks pretty good, although I was struck by the lack of coverage for disability rights issues. Someone really needs to have a word...

COMMENT-BODY:There was a meeting on disability and Marxism last year I think - perhaps it is available on the 'Resistance MP3' site?

COMMENT-BODY:Welcome to my blog, Snowball. Thanks for the comment. I shall be checking out the debate you mentioned. It is interesting, though, that the timetable includes gay liberation, black liberation and women's liberation as subject areas with multiple meetings for each (and rightly so) but doesn't do the same for the in my view equally important area of disability rights. And I speak as a party member BTW.

COMMENT-BODY:pat stack often does meetings on disability (and was on newsnight the other night labelled 'disabled man' which seemed a bit disrespectful) but couldn't find any on resistance mp3 site.
Doesn't seem to be speaking this year which is a real shame as he is one of the finest speakers the swp has... but maybe I just couldn't find it on the timetable.

COMMENT-BODY:I guess JimJay couldn't find it as disability is misspelt.
Ah - yes, I tried various combinations of searches but didn't think to try variations in spelling!
I have got a couple of pat's meetings on disability on tape (as it happens to be something important to me) I'll see if I can find them amongst the mess...

COMMENT-BODY:Listened to the politics of disability MP3 mentioned in the other comments above. Worthwhile although the sound quality is execrable. His description of the dangers of falling into the 'identity politics' trap are pretty clear and very useful.
