Just got back from an interview in London for a job with one of Britain's leading campaign organisations. Mentioning which one seems somehow to invite a jinx so I won't. Anyway, if (and it's a big if) I get this job I'll be moving from Derry in Northern Ireland all the way to London so things could get a big suspended on this site. I will keep you posted.

Upcoming attractions: I'm planning two big posts at some point in the near future, when I can get round to it. First, a review of the first two seasons of Doctor Who, concentrating in part on the politics of the thing. Second, a look at Althusser's anti-humanism and its possible relevance to disability rights.

We had a quick march round the town and handed out oodles of leaflets about a meeting we're having on Wednesday involving a former Abu Ghraib staffer speaking out about the realities of the place.
